Scope:
The eCommerce Marketplace Manager will be responsible for driving growth and managing strategic seller accounts on Amazon and Walmart. This role involves overseeing the entire seller lifecycle, from product listings to pricing, promotions, and forecasting. The manager will also maintain strong relationships with key contacts at both Amazon and Walmart, ensuring compliance with marketplace policies, optimizing sales performance, and maximizing profitability. A strong understanding of seller-side operations and marketplace-specific best practices is critical for success in this position.
Key high-level deliverables will include:
Manage Amazon and Walmart Seller Accounts: Oversee product listings, pricing strategies, promotions, and forecasting across both platforms to ensure maximum visibility and sales performance.
Seasonal & Promotional Campaigns: Manage the calendar for key sales events and seasonal promotions. Coordinate cross-functional resources to ensure these events run smoothly and meet business objectives.
Compliance & Account Health: Ensure adherence to Amazon and Walmart’s policies and best practices to maintain account health, avoid penalties, and resolve any seller disputes or performance issues promptly.
Sales Performance Tracking & Reporting: Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as sales, conversion rates, and market share. Provide regular reports on sales performance and insights to senior management and adjust strategies accordingly to meet targets.
Competitor & Market Analysis: Track competitor activity on Amazon and Walmart to identify trends, pricing shifts, and promotional opportunities. Use this data to differentiate our offerings and improve product visibility.
Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with sales insights and product teams to ensure alignment on go-to-market strategies. Lead efforts to execute these strategies across both platforms.
Budget and Forecasting: Oversee budget planning, including promotional spend and sales forecasting for both Amazon and Walmart. Provide actionable insights into return-on-investment (ROI) for advertising campaigns and promotional activities.
Continuous Improvement: Regularly assess marketplace operations and processes, recommending tools, strategies, or workflow improvements to enhance customer value, streamline account management, and boost sales performance.

Compensation range for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 annually. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and will vary based on job related knowledge, skills and experience

Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing or similar required
3 to 5 years experience in managing ecommerce Marketplace Seller accounts
Strong analytical skills and understanding of financials including effective P&L management
Experience in data analysis and creating business recommendations based on data
Ability to succeed in a consumer-focused sales organization
Experience creating sales presentations and developing customer programs
Competencies/Skills:
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across internal teams and with marketplace account managers.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong understanding of Amazon’s and Walmart’s search and ranking algorithms.
Proficient in managing promotions and pricing strategies on both Amazon and Walmart.
Experience with Amazon Advertising and Walmart Sponsored Products campaigns.
Analytical mindset with the ability to track, interpret, and act on sales metrics and performance data.
Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and execute marketplace-specific initiatives.
Familiarity with seller compliance requirements, dispute resolution and account health.
