Job Summary:
As a Buyer/Planner at Bush Specialty Vehicles, you will play a key role in ensuring the seamless flow of materials and resources essential for our operations. Using your expertise in procurement and planning, you will collaborate with various departments to meet customer demands, optimize inventory, and enhance supplier relationships. Compensation:
$65,000 to $75,000 annually, depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Generate purchase orders (POs), handle acknowledgments, and expedite orders.
- Utilize ERP/MRP systems to analyze demand, resolve exceptions, and schedule orders aligned with customer requirements.
- Collaborate with the sales and operations teams to convert plans into actionable purchase orders.
- Perform material management analyses, including inventory forecasts, aged inventory/POs, and safety stock evaluations.
- Develop and maintain productive supplier relationships to ensure quality and timely delivery.
- Drive continuous improvement in purchasing and planning processes.
- Support new product development efforts with material planning and procurement.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, particularly in procurement or planning.
- Experience in order management, inventory optimization, and material analysis.
- Strong strategic thinking paired with tactical execution and a sense of urgency.
- Experience with vehicle upfitting or similar industries is a plus.
