Bookkeeper

Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting the financial health of our organization. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and proficiency in various accounting software.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and record journal entries to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Manage governmental accounting processes, ensuring compliance with regulations.
• Perform account reconciliation to verify the accuracy of financial data.
• Maintain the general ledger by recording transactions and ensuring all entries are accurate.
• Utilize accounting software and financial software for efficient data management.
• Process payroll accurately and on time, adhering to relevant laws and regulations.
• Assist in budgeting processes by providing necessary financial insights and reports.
• Conduct general ledger reconciliation to ensure all accounts are balanced and discrepancies are resolved.

Skills

• Proficient in journal entries and general ledger accounting practices.
• Experience with governmental accounting is a plus.
• Strong skills in account reconciliation and financial reporting.
• Familiarity with various accounting software and financial software applications.
• Knowledge of payroll processing and budgeting techniques.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating effective communication skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.50 - $16.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 12 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• Overtime
• Weekends as needed
