SR Network Engineer

Our Irving, TX-based client is in search of a Sr. Network Engineer to join their growing team. The Sr. Network Engineer will be responsible for the security, design, and performance of the company s computer networks, and the integration of all telecom services and devices. This is a direct-hire position offering 1 day/week remote.

SALARY OFFERED: $125K depending on candidates experience, etc.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, and wireless networks.
• Manage all network and security systems across a large-scale enterprise while maintaining the availability and integrity of these systems.
• Implement and maintain network security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and access controls.
• Resolve escalated network issues, provide technical support, and guide junior engineers in troubleshooting.
• Provide 2nd and 3^rd-tier support to resolve business-critical network and security problems in a timely and accurate fashion.
• Ensure all issues regarding system or network automated alerts are logged, tracked, and resolved; manage alerts and events through the enterprise trouble ticketing tool.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Extensive experience (10 years) in network engineering, including experience with network hardware and software, routing protocols, and security technologies.
• 10 years of Cisco Nexus 7k,9k, Catalyst routers and switches.
• 5 years of Fortinet Firewall experience (FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer).
• Strong experience with Multiple routing protocols.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Experience with various networking technologies, including Cisco, Juniper, and Palo Alto.
• CCNE, CCNA, or CCNP preferred.
• Preferred: SolarWinds, Fortinet, Ruckus Wireless, Cisco ISE, SDWAN, Azure Networking, Site to Site VPN, IPsec, SSLVPN.
