Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated Advisor – Storage Optimization to support the optimization of our U.S. natural gas storage assets. This role plays a key part in managing a portfolio with a storage capacity of over 153 billion cubic feet of natural gas, generating more than $200 million in annual revenue.
The ideal candidate will serve as a liaison between field operations, capacity planning, gas control, and commercial services, ensuring smooth daily operations, outage planning, and maintenance coordination. This position requires strong analytical skills, technical knowledge, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with constantly shifting dynamics due to pipeline system changes, weather, and market conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Optimize natural gas storage assets by evaluating storage performance, injection/withdrawal capabilities, and daily operations.
- Build and maintain relationships with outage coordinators, gas control operators, and key stakeholders to facilitate communication on capacity, maintenance, and outages.
- Monitor daily storage asset performance by:
- Evaluating physical capabilities (injection, withdrawal, wheeling).
- Publishing priorities for withdrawal/injection for gas control.
- Updating customer postings related to storage facility outages.
- Approving storage deals in the LINK application system.
- Implementing restrictions on customer storage nominations.
- Develop and maintain documentation including storage operating modes, procedures, manuals, and presentations.
- Analyze historical nominations and pressure data to assess storage field expansion opportunities.
- Provide commercial input for outage planning, ensuring outages are executed efficiently with minimal impact on system customers.
- Collaborate closely with Gas Control, Integrity, Capacity Scheduling, and Operations Teams to optimize the outage schedule.
- Communicate outage impacts to commercially oriented teams and seek opportunities for process improvements.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (any discipline).
- **Advanced proficiency in Office 365 applications.
