We are looking for a Vice President of Business Development who will spearhead BDR's strategic growth initiatives, primarily focusing on expanding our market share across all business solutions within the residential home services industry, particularly in the HVAC, plumbing, and electrical sectors. This role involves identifying, cultivating, and securing new business and partnership opportunities with key accounts, including manufacturers, distributors, private equity firms, and franchise companies. The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record of success in business development within the home services industry, demonstrate strong leadership skills, and deeply understand the challenges and opportunities facing businesses in this sector.
Primary Job Responsibilities
- Strategic Planning: Craft and implement business development strategies to penetrate new markets and expand existing ones. Need to be experienced with business case development and effective communications.
- Relationship Building: Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, across manufacturers, distributors, franchise companies, and private equity firms.
- Sales Management: Oversee the development and growth of the National Account Manager role for Biz-Dev sales. Ensure inter-departmental coordination and cooperation
- Market Analysis: Identify growth opportunities and competitive advantages, verified through thorough market analysis.
- Financial Acumen: Manage budgets, forecast sales, and analyze financial data to make informed business decisions.
- Brand Development: Enhance brand recognition and market presence through targeted marketing and sales initiatives.
- Product Development: Lead interdepartmental collaboration efforts to create solutions that meet market needs and drive revenue growth
Work Hours: 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., some OT as necessary
Location: Remote/Hybrid
Compensation: Base Salary of $100,000 to $120,000 commission based on performance

The Qualifications
- Experience: Extensive experience in business and partnership development at the C-suite level, within the home services industry focused on HVAC, plumbing, and electrical.
- Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the home services markets (HVAC, plumbing, electric), including market dynamics and key players in manufacturing, distribution, and franchise companies.
- Leadership: Proven track record of being a thought leader and innovator with experience bringing new ideas to life.
- Education: A bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field is preferred.
- Remote Office: Ability to work autonomously within a dedicated and isolated home office.
- Travel: 50% or more travel is required, within the US and Canada.
