JOB SUMMARY
The Strategic Account Executive is responsible for managing and nurturing a portfolio of high-value accounts, developing and executing strategies that drive revenue and profit growth. The role ensures customer satisfaction by identifying new business opportunities, strengthening existing relationships, and acting as the primary point of contact between the company and its clients. Working closely with internal teams, the Strategic Account Executive delivers tailored solutions that align with client needs and business objectives. Additionally, the role is tasked with acquiring new strategic accounts to support continued revenue and profit expansion while fortifying the overall partnership between BIG and its clients.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and execute sales plans to meet or exceed corporate targets, including prospecting at the senior executive level and establish new client and customer relationships.
  • Drive revenue growth by identifying cross-selling and upsell opportunities within strategic accounts.
  • Develop actionable strategy roadmap with recommendations for issues and finding innovation opportunities where possible.
  • Anticipate changes in client or other drivers of demand in the marketplace.
  • Analyze customer requirements, develop solutions to complex problems, and communicate and inspire a vision for the business to customers and prospects.
  • Partner with internal and external partners to ensure customer needs are met and to deliver solutions that support the customer's business strategy.
  • Implement structured and consistent communication framework to ensure internal stakeholders and senior management have up-to-date visibility into the account status and opportunities to identify and implement corrective actions early in the process.
  • Negotiate contractual and financial terms and ensure ongoing customer satisfaction during presales and post sales engagements.
  • Communicate effectively and coordinate cross functional teams to ensure customer success.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for key clients, ensuring strong, long-lasting relationships.

POSITION DETAILS, WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS 

  • Standard office hours for this role are Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm local time zone.
  • This is a full-time, exempt role with eligibility to earn commission and bonus.
  • This is a remote role with eligibility to work from approved states in the United States.
  • Travel for this role may be extensive.  
  • Ability to sit for extended periods and use a computer and keyboard for long durations. Frequent typing and use of a mouse, with fine motor skills required for accurate data entry and navigation. Must be able to maintain good posture and adjust seating and workstation to minimize physical strain.

Education, Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required, marketing, communications, business administration, or related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience working in sales and/or marketing.
  • Strong ability to manage multiple accounts and prioritize effectively.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce.com or similar CRM software.
  • Experience in marketing automation tools preferred.
  • Ability to understand and analyze sales performance metrics.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate at all levels.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
