Title: Electronics Assembly Technician
Location: Littleton/Waterton, CO
Duration: 4 Months – Possible extension
Work Schedule: 4/10-1st Shift
Job Description:
- Performs a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies such as modules boards panels..
- Works from diagrams and drawings makes initial layouts and uses hand and/or power tools jigs.
- Makes continuity checks on work in process and completed.
- May conduct quality inspections on processing line in accordance with quality specifications.
- May disassemble modify rework reassemble and test experimental or prototype assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications and under simulated conditions.
- The ideal candidate will be able to support production activities at the Littleton, CO Production Facility and have demonstrated experience in solder, epoxy bonding and wire harness fabrication.
- Familiarity with Electronic Circuit Card and Module Assemblies is advantageous.
- A continuous improvement mindset focuses on work class quality, and the ability to work effectively with a team are also key.
Skills needed:
- Solder, bond and coating certification. Prior fabrication, cable and harness experience. Box/Module assembly experience.
- Prior Solder Fountain or Wave Solder experience
- Prior Automated SMT experience.
- Experience with new product introductions, lean manufacturing, cost and quality
- optimization on the production floor is highly desired.
- Must display maturity of action and judgment with a demonstrated track record of resourcefulness from their previous assignments.
- Must be able to read and comprehend detailed work instructions.
- Must be able to perform basic arithmetic functions for weight measurements, torque conversions, and dimensional measurements.
- Prior experience in CCA/PWB solder fabrication, Box/Module fabrication, or Cable Harness fabrication.
- Ability to work second or Friday-Sunday shift may be required.
- Active Certifications to include any of the following: NASA Hand Solder, J-STD, Hardware Torquing, Adhesive Bonding, Polymerics, Connector Mate & De-mate, NASA Cable Harness.
All Candidates MUST have an Active certification of one or more of the following:
- NASA Hand Solder (IPC-610)
- J-STD
- Hardware Torquing
- Adhesive Bonding
- Polymerics
- Connector Mate & De-mate
- NASA Cable Harness (IPC 620)
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $19.96 - $30.00 per hour
