Facilities Construction Manager for Aerospace and Defense Customer

• Plans, designs and oversees the construction of expanded facilities.
• Oversees architectural, engineering, and cost estimates, construction plans, specifications, and schedules.
• Obtains and supervises outside contractors.
• Recommends architectural and engineering design procedures and standards for the planning and design of facilities.
• Defines requirements for the detailed design, budgetary costing, standardized construction, and observes final inspection of facility projects as the customer.
• Conducts construction surveillance to ensure adherence to contractual requirements.

Required Skills:

• Experience with electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems,
• Excellent project management skills, including the ability to develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans
• Experience gathering complex requirements across multiple stakeholders and groups and translate them to actionable requirements for subcontractors.
• Experience with ICD 705 construction standard and other relevant security and regulatory requirements
• Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems, as well as experience with clean dry air and N2 systems
• Excellent project management skills, including the ability to develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans
• Strong communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners
• Ability to gather complex and conflicting requirements from internal stakeholders and translate them into a clear scope of work which subcontractors can execute upon
• Ability to present strategy in a logical manner to varying levels of leadership
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate potential risks and issues
