What are the responsibilities and job description for the IO Sensor Validation Lead position at Business Integra Inc?
Work Location: Sunnyvale, CA – 100% Onsite
Duration: 6-12 Months Contract
This individual will be responsible for smart glass sensor bring-up/ characterization/ validation. This engineer will develop test systems to enable rapid evaluation and testing of sensor sub-systems.
- We are looking for someone who understand I/O Sensor functionality and how we can validate on a form factor (Must Have)
- Hands on experience with Python Scripting (Must Have)
- Stronghold on Fixture designing and integration(Must Have)
- Looking for experience of around 10 years (Good To have)
- Good Analytical and Problem Solving (by default)
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Characterize and validate touch, proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, Inertial measurement unit for smart wearables.
- Optimize sensor performance based on validation result
- Documenting and presenting test results to engineering teams
- Working with cross-functional teams to assure that sufficient and accurate testing is implemented
Required Skills (Technical Competency):
- 5 years of Electrical System Verification for consumer electronics
- Experience with the definition of validation test plans and writing detailed electrical validation SOPs.
- Experience owning significant areas of electrical validation
- Experience executing electrical validation on the bench. Familiarity with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, DMM, e-load, power supply, power analyzer, spectrum analyzer, signal generator, and temp chamber.
- Understanding of board schematics and board layout. Ability to find proper probe locations and identify potential points of failure in the DUT.
- Working knowledge of Python, and LabVIEW for data processing and automation.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent experience
- A team player with strong communication skills. A self-motivated person who thrives in a cross-functional and fast-paced environment.
Desired Skills:
- Programming skills to develop software/firmware/scripts for validation, characterization, and prototyping (e.g. Python)
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g. MATLAB, R etc.)
- Experience with firmware development (C/C ) is a plus
- Knowledge in I2C/SMBus, UART, SPI, USB, Network stack is a plus
- Ability to read schematics
- Experience with code management tools like Git
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $45.00 - $50.00 per hour
