Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team. Duties
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes to the healthcare team.
- Assist with procedures such as IV insertion, suturing, and ventilating patients as necessary.
- Educate patients and their families on health management and post-treatment care.
- Maintain accurate patient records, including documentation of ICD-10 codes for diagnoses.
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols within the hospital or laboratory setting.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Provide emotional support to patients and their families during difficult times.
Qualifications
- Current state licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and nursing practices.
- Experience in a hospital or teaching hospital setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of infection control standards and practices.
- Ability to perform basic laboratory tasks related to patient care.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
