Overview
We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technician to join our team in a dynamic healthcare setting. The ideal candidate will have experience in ambulatory surgery centers, acute care, and pediatric settings.
Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing operating rooms for surgical procedures
- Set up surgical instruments and equipment
- Maintain a sterile field during surgical procedures using aseptic techniques
- Pass instruments and supplies to surgeons during procedures
- Monitor and anticipate the needs of the surgical team
- Document patient information and update medical records using Epic or similar systems
Skills
- Proficient in aseptic technique and maintaining sterile fields
- Knowledge of medical terminology and physiology
- Experience working in an acute care or Level II Trauma Center environment
- Familiarity with pediatric surgical procedures is a plus
- Ability to navigate electronic medical records systems effectively
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with the surgical team
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $45.00 per hour
