Job Summary
As a Personal Care Assistant, you will provide essential care and support to individuals in need, including seniors, those with disabilities, or individuals requiring assistance with daily living activities.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Provide companionship and emotional support
- Help with meal preparation and feeding
- Perform light housekeeping tasks
- Aid in the administration of medications
- Assist with mobility and physical therapy exercises
- Accompany clients to appointments and social outings
Qualifications
- Experience in senior care, nursing homes, or working with people with developmental disabilities is preferred
- Ability to perform tasks that may involve heavy lifting
- Knowledge of basic medical procedures or willingness to learn
- Compassionate and patient demeanor
- Certification as a nurse assistant or caregiver is a plus
- Proficient in cooking nutritious meals for clients
