Location: Hospital in Boston, MA
Schedule: 40 hours/week, 4x10 shifts (variable start times, no set day off, no major holidays)

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Registered- RN Case Manager to join the Float Pool at a hospital in Boston, MA. The RN Case Manager will coordinate patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating services to ensure quality and cost-effective outcomes. This role focuses on length of stay (LOS) management and resource utilization for 18-22 patients, using InterQual screening and Medicare inpatient lists to determine medical necessity and appropriateness of admissions.
Must-Have Requirements:
• Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Experience: Minimum 3 years of acute inpatient care, with strong knowledge of medical-surgical (MS) practices
• Skills & Knowledge:
• Expertise in assessing physical/mental impairments and treatment expectations
• Strong understanding of medical benefits, plan contracts, and eligibility requirements
• Familiarity with inpatient care methods and best practices
• Ability to assess and determine medical necessity using InterQual screening
Preferred Qualifications:
• 5 years of experience in Utilization Management (UM) & Case Management (CM)
• Experience working with EPIC EMR
• CCM or related certification
Schedule Details:
• Float Pool role with variable start times
• Required to work every 6th weekend as needed
