Service Technician

Work Schedule: 4/10A-1st Shift

Able to start without Secret, but candidate will need to obtain a Secret clearance during employment.

Job Description:

• Performs a variety of duties in the electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, and/or optical areas.
• Constructs, troubleshoots, calibrates, adjusts, tests, diagnoses, and maintains equipment, components, devices, or systems.
• Works from schematics, engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions.
• Operates related equipment; conducts tests and reports data in prescribed format.
• Performs calibration and alignment checks; makes adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed; prepares prescribed compounds and solutions.
• Exclude technicians working in production or quality assurance.
• Support to the Redstone Arsenal STORM Project Office.
• Responsibilities will be maintaining and troubleshooting M270A1 and HIMARS Launchers.
• Testing ATACMS, GMLRS, HELLFIRE, and Javelin missiles.
• Responsibilities will also include writing final reports and SOPs.

Basic Required Qualifications:

• Familiar with gasoline and diesel engines.
• Troubleshooting skills on vehicles.
• Familiar with Redstone Arsenal, AL operations.
• Familiar with engine and diesel engines.

Desired Qualifications:

• Preferred experience working on Military Bradley vehicles, HIMARS, MLRS, HUMVEE, HEMIT.
• Diesel mechanic working on Bulldozers and/or Large Diesel Engines.
• Preferred experience working on gasoline and/or diesel engines.

Will need the following Physicals while on assignment.

• .Need Forklift Physical
• Need Government climatic physical
• Need client’s Spirometer Physical
• Need DOT physical

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $35.00 - $38.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
