Sterile Processing Technician

Job Summary

As a Sterile Processing Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the cleanliness and sterility of medical instruments and equipment used in healthcare facilities. Your attention to detail and adherence to strict protocols will contribute to the overall safety and well-being of patients.

Responsibilities

• Perform sterilization and decontamination procedures on medical instruments and equipment
• Assemble instrument trays and surgical kits according to established protocols
• Inspect instruments for cleanliness, functionality, and completeness
• Maintain accurate records of processed items
• Monitor and maintain inventory levels of supplies
• Adhere to aseptic techniques and infection control policies
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to meet their instrument needs

Experience

• Prior experience in sterile processing is preferred but not required
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology is beneficial
• Familiarity with inventory management practices is a plus
• Proficiency in aseptic techniques is advantageous

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $1,200.00 - $1,400.00 per week
