Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nursing Assistant to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will provide essential support to patients in various settings, including outpatient and inpatient care. You will work closely with nursing staff to ensure the highest quality of patient care, assisting with daily activities and monitoring patient health. Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and blood pressure.
- Provide support for patients in assisted living environments and memory care units.
- Help with mobility and transportation of patients within the facility.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients by adhering to infection control protocols.
- Document patient care activities accurately using electronic health record systems such as eClinicalWorks or Cerner.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Support patients dealing with infectious diseases by following established safety guidelines.
- Engage with patients to promote emotional well-being and provide companionship.
Requirements
- Certification as a Nursing Assistant or equivalent experience in a healthcare setting.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.
- Knowledge of infection control practices and protocols.
- Ability to provide compassionate patient care in both outpatient and inpatient settings.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Willingness to assist in various areas of patient care, including memory care and infectious disease management.
