Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians.
- Assist in the assessment of patients' health status and develop nursing care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes to the medical team.
- Support patients with activities of daily living, ensuring their comfort and dignity.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Educate patients and their families on health management and wellness strategies.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care services.
Requirements
- Valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of practice.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities is preferred.
- Proficiency in critical care practices, including ICU experience, is a plus.
- Knowledge of infant care techniques and protocols is advantageous.
- Familiarity with medical imaging procedures and catheter care is beneficial.
