Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes to the healthcare team.
- Assist with daily living activities for patients, including personal hygiene and mobility.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with medical standards.
- Educate patients and their families on health management and treatment plans.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Ensure a safe and clean environment for patients by adhering to infection control protocols.
Skills
- Proficient in medical terminology and understanding of various medical procedures.
- Experience in hospital medicine, senior care, or assisted living environments is preferred.
- Ability to work effectively with children, including toddlers, in a healthcare setting.
- Knowledge of ophthalmology practices is a plus.
- Strong communication skills to interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Capability to ventilate patients when necessary and assist in operating room procedures (OR).
