Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our central Program Management Team, focusing on the execution and management of projects associated with Risk Weighted Assets (RWAs). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, complemented by expertise in capital, risk management, and regulatory compliance. This role will be essential in driving strategic deliverables, coordinating cross-functional teams, and ensuring adherence to governance frameworks while delivering impactful solutions.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Support Program Initiative leads in driving the execution of strategic deliverables focused on Risk Weighted Assets.
- Lead or participate in working groups and workshops with key stakeholders to gather business requirements, define project plans, and manage timelines effectively.
- Provide subject matter expertise and constructive challenge on business initiatives to ensure alignment with project strategies and organizational goals.
- Assist in ensuring that all target state tools, processes, and controls are socialized and approved by the appropriate governance forums or levels.
- Manage internal and external dependencies across initiatives, collaborating closely with Risk Managers, Product Owners, Front Office, Product Control, and Technology teams.
- Identify potential challenges proactively, seeking to resolve or escalate risks and issues promptly by engaging relevant stakeholders and project managers.
- Continuously engage with senior stakeholders, escalating and resolving issues as necessary to maintain project momentum.
- Produce accurate and insightful project updates and artifacts tailored for various forums and committees.
- Build strong relationships and adopt a collaborative approach to support the successful execution of programs across different teams.
Skills Required:
- Strong and proven track record in strategic project management and delivering complex solutions, particularly related to Risk Weighted Assets.
- Experience in Front Office, and Finance Transformation, with demonstrated examples of achieved execution deliverables.
- Experience with market traded products (equities, fixed income, etc.), front office projects, and business-led implementations of end-to-end deliveries across front office, technology, and functional teams.
- Significant experience in scoping, developing, and prioritizing plans for strategic initiatives to align with business goals.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills; articulate and persuasive with the judgment and authority to provide insightful commentary to senior stakeholders.
- Ability to drive change in business practices by collaborating across a global organization and considering diverse perspectives.
- Thought leadership in target state design, effectively engaging stakeholders at multiple organizational levels.
- 5 years of relevant industry experience, preferably with a focus on regulatory-related projects.
- Bachelor’s/University degree required; Project Management certifications (e.g., PMP or equivalent) are a plus.
Candidate Should Have:
- Understanding of Capital and Risk Weighted Assets, recognizing their importance to the business and the information capabilities required for effective decision-making.
- Familiarity with data and modeling initiatives from a business, risk, and project management perspective.
- Ability to engage senior stakeholders, summarizing issues and responding to challenges succinctly and convincingly.
** The base salary for this role $90,000-$140,000**
