Job Purpose:
Anderson Business Advisors is a globally operating company, with only 30% of employees based in the Las Vegas offices (Hybrid). The rest of the team works remotely across the U.S., and we are expanding internationally with growing operations in Dubai, India, and the Philippines.
The Instructional Designer is responsible for designing high-quality training content and knowledge-sharing materials for both online and offline learning programs. Collaborating closely with subject matter experts and functional trainers, this role ensures that instructional materials are tailored to meet organizational learning goals. The Instructional Designer also acts as a sparring partner, providing trainer instruction guides, notes, and other supporting resources to enhance training effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities:
Content Design and Development
- Design engaging and effective learning content, including e-learning modules, instructor-led training, and training aids, in collaboration with subject matter experts.
- Develop training materials tailored to various delivery formats, ensuring accessibility and alignment with organizational standards.
- Regularly review and update learning materials to reflect new processes, technologies, and business changes.
Trainer Support and Collaboration
- Serve as a sparring partner for functional trainers, offering guidance on training delivery and ensuring consistency across sessions.
- Develop detailed trainer instruction guides and notes to support the smooth delivery of training sessions.
- Collaborate with trainers to gather feedback and refine instructional materials based on learner performance and outcomes.
Instructional Strategy
- Implement instructional design best practices to optimize learning outcomes and retention.
- Leverage a mix of instructional methodologies, such as microlearning, gamification, and blended learning.
- Ensure that all learning materials support both immediate application and long-term skill development.
Quality Assurance
- Review instructional content to ensure clarity, accuracy, and effectiveness.
- Conduct pilot testing and obtain feedback from trainers and learners to improve content delivery and engagement.
- Maintain documentation of instructional design standards and templates for consistent future use.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Instructional Design, Education, or a related field.
- 3 years of experience in instructional design, content development, or a related role.
- Proven experience in designing training materials for online and instructor-led learning programs.
- Strong project management and communication skills to work effectively with subject matter experts and trainers.
- Proficiency in instructional design tools and platforms (e.g., Articulate, Adobe Captivate, or similar).
- Understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design best practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working within corporate training or professional services environments.
- Familiarity with digital learning platforms and learning management systems (LMS).
- Experience in working with dynamic and globally distributed companies.
- Certification in instructional design or training development (e.g., CPTD, ATD).
