Key Responsibilities:
- Business Development: Identify, prospect, and pursue new business opportunities with a focus on “high-end” residential and commercial clients.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, contractors, architects, designers, developers, property managers and homeowners to drive new, repeat & referral business.
- Market Research & Strategy: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor activities, and market demands to develop effective sales strategies and expand market presence.
- Project Coordination: Work closely with internal design and construction teams to ensure seamless communication and execution of projects. Assist clients in understanding the design & construction process and how hardscapes, specific desert plants and trees can enhance their landscapes.
- Proposal & Contract Negotiation: Work with General Manager, Designers & Project Managers on proposals, bids, and contracts. Negotiate terms and pricing with clients, ensuring alignment with business objectives and profitability.
- Networking & Industry Events: Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and local networking opportunities to build brand visibility and foster new business relationships.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Landscape Architecture, Horticulture, Business Administration or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development or sales, with at least 2 years in the landscape construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of desert plants and trees, landscape design principles, and sustainable landscaping practices is preferred but not necessary.
- Proven track record of successfully generating leads, securing contracts, and driving business growth.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to understand and explain design concepts to clients and stakeholders.
- Knowledge of industry software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar tools) is a plus.
- Experience within the Scottsdale, Paradise Valley, AZ market highly desired.
- Client-focused with a strong commitment to customer satisfaction.
- Innovative and creative thinking with a passion for sales.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Motivated self-starter with a goal-oriented mindset and a passion for business development.
Compensation:
- $50,000 - $60,000 base performance-based incentives / commision. Realistic on target earnings $100,000
