Business Risk Partners is a Windsor-based, Specialty lines Managing General Agency looking for recent graduates with strong academics in business, finance, risk management and/or insurance to join our Underwriter Assistant Development Program. Employees are provided with work laptops.

Underwriter Assistant Trainees will:
- Receive structured underwriting training facilitated by seasoned professionals
- Learn about multiple lines of business and various products
- Gain experience in Underwriting support and different Underwriting teams
- Work alongside and learn from BRP’s leadership team
- Build lasting relationships with a great team
You will learn the following responsibilities and duties:
- Support multiple underwriters and multiple product lines simultaneously
- Enter submissions into a Submission Tracking System; basic understanding of the products Business Risk Partners offers
- Maintain service standards through timely response to broker requests and other administrative tasks
- Handle special projects as assigned
Qualifications and Skills - The ideal candidate will possess:
- College degree in Business Management, Finance, Insurance and/or Risk Management
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to build relationships, work as a team player, and demonstrate respect and humility
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet aggressive goals
- Proficiency in MS Office including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Compensation:
- Salary commensurate with experience

The annualized base pay range for Assistant Underwriter Trainee: $47,000 - $50,000
*The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Business Risk Partner’s total compensation package.
