Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Diesel Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing diesel engines and related components, including dry vans and refrigerated trailers.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine preventive maintenance on diesel engines
- Diagnose malfunctions and perform repairs on engines, transmissions, brakes, and other vehicle systems
- Utilize schematics and diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot issues
- Conduct inspections to ensure vehicles meet safety standards
- Fabricate parts when necessary
- Maintain accurate records of all repairs and services performed
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Previous mechanic work (3-4 years) and/or completion of diesel mechanic vocational training
Skills
- Proficiency in working with industrial equipment
- Strong electrical knowledge for diagnosing issues
- Ability to effectively use hand tools for repairs
- Experience with shocks struts replacement
- Knowledge of automotive diagnostics
- Ability to operate and maintain a crane
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00 - $31.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
