Do you enjoy team-based complex and creative problem solving? Then this might be an opportunity for you. We are now looking for a Project Manager to join our team in San Francisco.
Our US operation consists of 4 locations which are New York, Washington, Chicago and San Francisco . Together, we make up one of the most successful, progressive, and dynamic business units in Business Sweden in the largest economy in the world.
As Project Manager at Business Sweden you will lead projects focused on market expansion, sales support, stakeholder analysis, and operational support. You will also assist US companies in navigating opportunities in Sweden and support high-value investments, providing market insights and strategic advice as part of our investment promotion efforts.
This position offers a diverse range of assignments and a high level of responsibility, making the work both dynamic and challenging.
The role includes both strategic, tactic and operational responsibilities such as :
- Represent Business Sweden as a trusted advisor, finding solutions to our clients' most pressing challenges in the US market
- Manage & deliver consulting projects of all sizes and industries to support Swedish companies in their international business development and expansion plans in the US
- Take on a leadership role in 1-2 specialty areas based on previous expertise, or develop a specialty and become an industry-expert in client dialogues
- Define project scope, direction, timeline, and objectives and monitor deliverables and team responsibilities
- Lead, manage, and develop project team members to ensure successful project deliveries and team competency development
- Independently drive client dialogues, and take on full sales cycle responsibility including; monitoring leads, developing pipeline, and developing project scope, proposals, and cost
- Research solutions for market expansion, sales support, stakeholder analysis and / or operational support
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients through consistent communication, understanding their needs, and tailoring solutions accordingly
- Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and client expectations
- Collaborate with the business development team to prospect and develop a customer book of business, while shaping differentiated value proposition for our clients
- Collaborate with marketing team by contributing to externally published project deliveries and market insights, and lead trade / invest promotion activities
The role is based at either our Chicago or San Francisco office.

For locally employed employees the salary range will be $90,000-$110,000. If you apply from another country and are relevant for an expatriate arrangement, another salary level and associated expatriate allowances will be relevant.
