Role Description:
We’re looking for a driven, curious, and high-performing Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our growing sales and marketing team. As a BDR, you’ll play a critical role in driving pipeline growth through a mix of inbound lead engagement and outbound prospecting, using a blend of phone, email, video, and social outreach to connect with the right stakeholders at the right time.
This role requires a passion for learning, a team-first mindset, and a genuine interest in how operational transformation fuels business growth. You’ll collaborate closely with sales, marketing, and leadership to bring in qualified opportunities that help our team win.
Responsibilities:
Inbound Prospecting & Lead Management
- Engage with inbound leads from web forms, campaigns, events, and live chat
- Respond promptly and professionally to inquiries via HubSpot and CRM workflows
- Follow up on tradeshow and webinar leads to generate interest and meetings
Outbound Prospecting
- Conduct research on target accounts, leads, and contacts
- Execute personalized outreach campaigns using phone, email, video, and social
- Manage and nurture a named account list of ~200 accounts
- Build sequences in HubSpot tailored by persona and buyer journey stage
Opportunity Qualification
- Use discovery call guides and BANT-style qualification criteria to determine sales readiness
- Schedule and conduct intro calls to qualify opportunities and warm hand off to AEs
- Maintain accurate notes and activity logs in HubSpot CRM
Strategy, Alignment & Governance
- Understand target industries and personas to tailor outreach
- Collaborate with marketing to follow up on campaigns and refine messaging
- Participate in team standups, campaign planning, and feedback loops
- Maintain CRM hygiene and data quality through regular updates and enrichment

Qualifications:
The following experience and skills are preferred.
- 1–2 years in a BDR, SDR, inside sales, or similar role in a SaaS or technology company
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Self-starter with a “hunter” mentality and high degree of resilience
- Coachable, adaptable, and eager to learn new tools and techniques
- Experience with HubSpot or another CRM (Salesforce, Zoho, etc.)
- Familiarity with outbound prospecting tools like LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, or similar
- Bachelor's degree preferred
Work Location
This is a hybrid role based out of our Kansas City, MO office. Candidates should be available to work during standard business hours (8am–5pm CT), with at least 2 days/week in office.
