The Accountant Assistant will work closely with our accounting team to support various financial activities and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records. This role offers an excellent opportunity for growth and development in the field of accounting.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including processing invoices, payments, and receipts accurately and in a timely manner.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial records to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Prepare and maintain financial reports, spreadsheets, and documentation as needed for internal and external reporting requirements.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
- Assist in preparing financial statements and supporting schedules for review by senior accounting staff.
- Help maintain organized and up-to-date financial files and records, both electronic and physical.
- Provide support during audits by gathering requested documentation and assisting auditors as needed.
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve accounting-related inquiries and discrepancies.
- Stay informed about changes in accounting regulations and standards, and assist in ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Perform other ad-hoc tasks and projects as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred. Or similar experience.
- Previous experience in accounting or finance, preferably in a similar role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, etc.).
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
- High level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and responsibilities.

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
