Responsibilities
- Prepare and review financial statements and reports in accordance with GAAP.
- Conduct thorough financial audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations.
- Perform account reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records.
- Analyze cash flow and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure timely filing.
- Collaborate with clients to provide expert advice on securities law and governmental accounting matters.
- Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, PeopleSoft, and Sage for efficient financial management.
- Write detailed financial reports that summarize findings and provide actionable insights.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, regulations, and best practices.
Skills
- Strong understanding of double entry bookkeeping principles.
- Proficiency in financial report writing and analysis.
- Experience with cash flow analysis techniques.
- Knowledge of governmental accounting standards is preferred.
- Familiarity with auditing processes and procedures.
- Ability to effectively use accounting software including QuickBooks, PeopleSoft, and Sage ect..
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
