Cashier – Job Overview:
Receive and process payments from customers and package products. Provide store and product location information to customers in the store and on the phone. Direct sales associate to customers entering the store to provide assistance to them. Maintain product displays in the cash register area. Open and close registers daily following policy, and procedure for the Point-Of-Sale (POS) system. Other duties as assigned. Must be customer service oriented with excellent communication skills, honesty and courtesy.
Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and provide excellent customer service
- Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently
- Handle cash, credit, and debit card payments
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area
- Assist customers with product inquiries and provide recommendations
- Upsell and cross-sell products to maximize sales
- Handle customer complaints or concerns in a professional manner
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets
Experience:
- Previous experience in retail or customer service is preferred
- Knowledge of technical sales, jewelry sales, wireless sales, or electronics sales is a plus
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills in English
