POSITION SUMMARY
The Lead Cashier is responsible for managing the cashiers along with performing cashier position functions. The Lead Cashier is responsible for the training, development, and ongoing education of current and new cashiers. The Lead Cashier will open and close registers daily by following proper procedures, complete cash balancing, and understand all procedures for Point-Of-Sale (POS) system. Other responsibilities include improving cashier key performance indicators, and additional duties assigned by the General Manager. Must be customer service oriented with excellent communication skills, honest, and courteous.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
SALES PERFORMANCE
- Assists Management to implement, drive and monitor customer engagement strategies to achieve sales and margin objectives
- Implements best practices for cashier responsibilities

STORE OPERATIONS AND ADMINISTRATION
- Ensures that all cashier standards follow company policy
- Managers the store in the absence of the General Manager and Assistant Manager - Keyholder
- Ensure all operational standards are following our company’s policies and procedures
- Maintain safety awareness
ORGANIZATIONAL DEVELOPMENT
- Assist Management in the following:
- Assesses staffing needs and implements strategies to improve customer service and efficiencies.
- Evaluates individual performance, coaches and counsels and makes recommendations/decisions on hiring, promotions, terminations, and development.
- Coach and counsel, all cashiers to support a positive culture within the store

Pay: From $12.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
