Position Overview:
As a Service Advisor, you'll be the first point of contact for customers seeking repairs and maintenance for their vehicles. Your role is essential in ensuring the customer experience is seamless from start to finish, including communication with technicians and helping customers understand the work needed on their vehicles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and address their automotive service needs in a transparent, respectful manner.
- MUST be willing to jump in and help the team out when we are busy. This is a job requirement to help your team when needed as a lead individual in my shop.
- Provide accurate, clear, and honest estimates for repair work and services.
- Communicate regularly with customers about the status of their vehicle and any changes to the service plan.
- Collaborate with the shop’s technicians to ensure work is completed on time and to the highest standards.
- Manage customer expectations with respect to time frames and costs, ensuring transparency at every stage of the process.
- Build long-term relationships with customers by offering exceptional service and effective problem-solving.
Ideal Candidate:
- Previous experience in an automotive service advisor role is required.
- ***History of ASE certification or current certification is a BONUS***
- Strong communication skills – both verbal and written – with a focus on honesty and transparency.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities, with a positive attitude.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Passion for customer service and delivering honest, clear information.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- A willingness to learn and adapt to new technology in the automotive field.
