We are looking for an Assistant Manager with a passion for both customer service and coffee to join our dynamic team and help us provide exceptional experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in overseeing daily operations of the play cafe, ensuring a clean, safe, and enjoyable experience for all guests.
- Prepare and serve coffee, espresso drinks, smoothies, and other beverages in a timely and consistent manner while maintaining a high standard of quality
- Manage and supervise a team of staff, providing training, guidance, and performance feedback.
- Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Help coordinate birthday parties, events, and special activities for children.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food handling and play area safety.
- Assist with inventory management, ordering supplies, and maintaining stock levels.
- Assist with scheduling, payroll, and staff management.
- Work closely with the General Manager to implement promotional campaigns and marketing strategies.
- Support staff in maintaining an inviting and friendly atmosphere for families.
- Handle administrative duties, including tracking sales and managing reports.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a managerial or supervisory role, preferably in a family-focused or hospitality environment.
- Previous experience as a barista or in a coffee shop environment is preferred. Ability to prepare coffee, espresso drinks, and other beverages quickly and accurately.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks, including managing the cafe, handling customer orders, and maintaining play area safety, especially during busy times.
- Friendly, energetic, and passionate about working with children and families.
- Knowledge of health and safety standards and regulations.
- Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
- Basic computer skills (POS systems, scheduling software, etc.).
- CPR and First Aid certified (preferred but not required).
