Summary
Busy Bee Preschool in Firestone is looking for an experienced lead infant teacher. We are looking for a gentle, compassionate person to join our team. The ideal candidate has experience as a lead teacher working with infants aged 6 weeks- 18 months in a classroom setting. Knowledge of infant developmental stages is required. Mostly, we are looking for a caring and loving individual to love our babies like we do. Experience as a lead teacher is required as well as the ability to work within the policies and procedures of the center and the state.
The Lead Infant Teacher is responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where infants can grow and develop. This role involves planning and implementing age-appropriate activities, monitoring developmental milestones, and ensuring the overall well-being of each child. The Lead Teacher works closely with parents and other staff members to support each child's growth.
Our infant team is very supportive of our families and each other. We keep our ratios low in all classes so that we can give the children the love and attention that they deserve. At this time, we are not able to offer childcare for staff as we are at full enrollment in all classes.

Duties
Key Responsibilities :
- Supervision and Care :
- Provide attentive care to infants, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Feed, diaper, and soothe infants according to their individual schedules and needs.
- Monitor infants for any signs of illness or distress and report concerns to parents and management.
- Development and Learning :
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development.
- Use play-based learning strategies to encourage exploration, curiosity, and developmental progress.
- Track and document each child's developmental milestones and progress.
- Environment Management :
- Maintain a clean, organized, and child-friendly classroom environment.
- Ensure all toys, equipment, and materials are sanitized and safe for use.
- Set up and maintain an engaging environment that supports the infants' development.
- Communication :
- Communicate daily with parents about their child's activities, feedings, diaper changes, and general behavior.
- Build positive and professional relationships with families to support the child's development.
- Collaborate with other staff members to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
- Professional Development :
- Attend regular staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in early childhood education.
- Comply with all state licensing regulations and center policies.
