Assistant Director

Overview
The Assistant Director plays a pivotal role in supporting the Director and teachers in a class room setting. This position is ideal for individuals with a strong background in child care, who are passionate about fostering an environment conducive to learning and growth. The Assistant Director will collaborate closely with the Director to ensure the effective management of classrooms, resources, and personnel within the child care center.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing daily operations as needed, ensuring that all educational programs run smoothly and effectively.
• Ensure center is compliant with Texas Child Care Minimum Standards at all times.
• Provide leadership and guidance to team members, fostering a collaborative team environment.
• Fill in and cover classrooms as needed.
• Conduct regular assessments of classrooms to identify areas for improvement and report to Director to discuss implementing necessary changes.
• Fill in for Director as needed, running reports and monitoring class room logs.
• Communicate with parents and potential families.

Requirements

• At least 2 years working in a licensed childcare center
• Exceptional leadership skills, capable of inspiring and motivating teams towards common goals.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively educate diverse audiences.
• Must pass a background check and be able to obtain a CPR certification.

Pay: From $14.00 per hour
