What are the responsibilities and job description for the Garbage Collector position at Busy Bees Disposal?
A garbage collector will remove refuse from residential, commercial or industrial areas, and will empty receptacles into the truck. Once the refuse has been collected, the truck is driven to a designated landfill.
Work hours:
Varies per day. Times of departure each morning would be 4:30 am and 5:30 am. Daily routes end anywhere from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
Requirements:
- High school diploma, preferred.
- Valid North Carolina drivers license.
- Knowledge of proper lifting techniques when handling heavy objects.
- Experience working with hazardous materials and knowledge of proper waste disposal methods.
- Working knowledge of GPS and online mapping sites.
- Great physical fitness and strength.
- Team player.
- Good sense of direction.
- Ability to endure tough working conditions.
- Punctual.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
