Summary

As an Advanced Practice Provider, you will be integral to delivering high-quality, compassionate patient care in a medical setting, reporting directly to the supervising physician. This role requires a strong foundation in medical office experience, and patient assessment, alongside excellent communication and organizational skills. Your proficiency in EHR systems and commitment to HIPAA compliance will ensure efficient and compliant patient management. This is a PT position that will require flexibility. One full week per month and 2-3 full or partial days a week. Willing to discuss options.

Responsibilities & Duties

- Examines patient, performs comprehensive physical examination, and compiles patient medical data, including health history and results of physical examination.

- Interprets and integrates medical data to determine appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic procedures needed.

- Administers or orders, and interprets diagnostic tests as needed for appropriate patient care.

- Performs therapeutic procedures such as injections, immunizations, suturing and wound care, and managing infection.

- Prepares appropriate written prescription orders in accordance with DEA guidelines in dispensing or prescribing medication as necessary to treat patient’s medical needs.

- Develops and implements patient management plans, records progress notes, and assists in provision of continuity of care.

- Instructs and counsels patients regarding compliance with prescribed therapeutic regimens, normal growth and development, family planning, emotional problems of daily living and health maintenance.

- Performs surgical and/or diagnostic procedures under supervision of physician.

- Must maintain Advance Practice Provider certification, license and continuing medical education requirements at all times.

- Performs all duties in compliance with Dalton Family Practice clinical policies and OSHA & CLIA standards.

- Maintain professional communication skills between employee, patient, physicians and other facilities.

- Make recommendations for any improvements in the operation of the clinical system.

- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

- Assist other personnel in the performance of their duties as assigned and as workload permits.

- Function as relief for other personnel in the office as appropriate and to facilitate co-workers’ absence in the office.

- Recognize and demonstrate cost-effective measures in utilization of supplies, equipment and other resources.

- Maintain the strictest confidentiality of all company records, including verbal and written records.

- Other duties as assigned by DFP Partners or Practice Manager.

Requirements/Qualifications

- Graduate of nationally accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant organization.

- Must have previous experience as an Advance Practice Provider in field of certification (i.e. Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner).

- Must be certified as an NP or PA by a nationally accredited organization.

- Must have an active license in the State of Georgia as an Advanced Practice Provider (i.e. Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner). Nurse Practitioners must have an active RN and APN license.

- Must have a DEA number issued by the U.S. Department of Justice Drug Enforcement Administration.

- Individuals must be BLS trained and certified at all times.

- Must be computer literate.

Physical Demands

- Frequent sitting, standing, walking, grasping, carrying and speaking

- Occasional reaching, bending and stooping

- Lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling up to 60 pounds, with assistance if needed

- May need to lift or turn patients who are disabled, with assistance if needed

- Frequent use of computer, keyboard, copy and fax machine and phone

- Occasional travel to attend meetings or training

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $40.00 - $50.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
