Mechanical Engineering Technical Lead
Butler Aerospace and Defense is looking for a skilled Mechanical Engineering Technical Lead to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading mechanical engineering projects and teams, ensuring that designs meet requirements and are developed efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead mechanical engineering projects and teams, ensuring that designs meet requirements and are developed efficiently.
- Satisfy static strength, stiffness, stability margin, fatigue life, damage tolerance, durability, thermal performance, load distribution, failure modes and effects, and other requirements.
- Create detailed Finite Element Models (FEM) of components and assemblies using appropriate modeling practices.
- Support manufacturing and testing of components and sub-systems, interpreting technical data, and assisting in product improvements.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering is required. Major in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering is preferred.
- Must have experience with NASTRAN and at least one analysis pre/post-processor including but not limited to: PATRAN, HyperWorks, Femap.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment and ability to articulate technical data and concepts to a wide audience of individuals of different technical backgrounds.
