Program Objective:
An internship in a Butler Service Shop to prepare you for a career as a diesel technician.
The work-study internship at Butler Machinery is designed for high school students to gain hands-on education and experience in the heavy equipment, ag equipment, and diesel technology industries.
Our program provides students with an opportunity to explore various departments within our company while receiving on-the-job training alongside a full-time service technician mentor.
Responsibilities:
- Basic mechanical aptitude
- Clear communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to listen, learn, and participate
- Positive attitude
- Maintaining a clean and safe work environment
Qualifications:
- Must be 16 years old or older
- Punctual attendance required
- Pre-employment drug testing is conducted
- High school students interested in diesel technology or parts/warehouse fields
- Desire to explore diesel technology or parts warehouse areas with intent to continue education in this field
