Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Preventive Maintenance Planning:
Develop and implement a detailed preventive maintenance plan for all manufacturing floor equipment, including but not limited to:
- Sonobuoy assembly machines
- Testing equipment
- Calibration stations
- Material handling equipment
- Establish a schedule for preventive maintenance tasks based on manufacturer recommendations, industry best practices, and historical data.
- Create and maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, including work orders, parts used, and labor hours.
- Identify and procure necessary spare parts and maintenance supplies.
- Continuously evaluate the effectiveness of the preventive maintenance plan and make adjustments as needed.
- Manufacturing Floor Support:
- Provide timely and effective troubleshooting and repair support for equipment malfunctions.
- Assist production personnel with equipment operation and maintenance.
- Perform minor repairs and adjustments as needed.
- Escalate complex issues to the appropriate maintenance personnel.
- Create and maintain clear and concise work instructions for manufacturing processes, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Provide support to production personnel when issues arise, including troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions.
- Evaluate and disposition discrepancies in materials, components, or finished products, ensuring compliance with quality standards.
- Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
- Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance maintenance efficiency.
- Stay abreast of industry best practices and new technologies in preventive maintenance.
- Associate's degree or technical certification in Industrial Maintenance, Mechanical Engineering,Technology, or a related field.
- Experience: 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with a focus on preventive maintenance.
- Experience in the electronics or defense industry is a plus.
- Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
- Proficient in the use of maintenance tools and equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in computer applications, including maintenance management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, and fumes
- May be required to work overtime or weekends as needed.
- May be required to participate in on-call rotation.
