Job Description:
The ideal candidate will utilize established methods, inspection procedures, and prescribed specifications to visually inspect solder and conformal coating of circuit card assemblies in accordance with IPC-A-610 & IPC-J-STD-001 requirements. Additionally, they will inspect in-process and completed cable assemblies using instructions, drawings, or inspection instructions, checklists, and various measuring devices.
The role requires the ability to identify non-conformances in accordance with IPC-A-620 and other requirements. This includes detail orientation and proficiency at interpreting drawings, diagrams, parts lists, IPC manuals, revision control, reference documents, and work instructions. The successful candidate must be a team player with strong verbal and written communication skills, effectively interfacing with assemblers, test technicians, engineers, customers, and management when resolving quality issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect solder connections and/or assembly build on circuit card assemblies under IPC-A-610 & IPC-J-STD-001 requirements.
- Visual Inspection (solder/coating) experience of at least 1 year, or equivalent manufacturing/soldering experience of Electronic Assemblies.
- Detailed orientation and proficiency at interpreting drawings, diagrams, parts lists, IPC manuals, revision control, reference documents, and work instructions.
- Effective communication and diplomacy when addressing quality defects with all levels of manufacturing.
- Proficient with Personal Computers.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- US Citizenship required.
