Child and Family Specialist/Community Based Skill Builder

The Wings program provides treatment of children and families presenting with complex mental health disorders who are at risk of residential placement. We offer non-traditional, community based services to empower the social supports and resources available to targeted youth. Our Wings program is in need of a Community Based Skill Builder to serve clients in Warren and Clinton Counties. The person in this role works to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and their families.
Responsibilities:
- Function as part of coordinated plan of service developed by supervisor and close collaboration with the youth’s family and service providers.
- Provide service advocacy and education to enhance family functioning and stability
- Complete high quality service documentation.
- Meet productivity and service intensity standards
- Ability to build, maintain and grow positive relationships and alliances with professional and non-professional providers of support services for children and families
- Personal values consistent with the agency’s core values and wraparound philosophy of service
Minimum requirements:
- Associates degree preferred
- Experience working with children and family treatment services
- Skilled in time management, organizational and follow-up skills
- Valid Driver's license and clean driving record
The Community Based Skill Builder position is a full-time, hourly non-exempt position. We offer a supportive and flexible work environment and competitive wages, as well as:
