Adjunct Chemistry Instructor (Summer 2025)
Job Duties
Butler Community College is seeking an instructor to teach College Chemistry for Summer 2025. This is a face-to-face class at the Andover campus location. The instructor would collaborate with the Chemistry faculty and the Faculty Development Team as needed to ensure continued success.
This is a part-time position and continued adjunct teaching is a possibility beyond the Summer term. Butler uses Canvas, Zoom, and Office 365. There could also be required software specific to your discipline required. Free training is offered and required.

Qualifications
Required knowledge and skills
- The applicant should have an understanding of:
- chemistry of metallic elements and their compounds
- elementary principles of analytical chemistry
- solution concentrations
- chemical equilibrium
- solubility products
- buffers
- thermodynamics
- electrochemistry.
- The applicant will be involved in demonstrating and supervising laboratory experiments to incorporate analysis, synthesis, and acquisition of quantitative and qualitative data.
Required experience
Prior teaching experience is preferred.
Required educational background
Masters Degree with at least18 graduate hours in Chemistry.
