GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Under the direction of the special education teacher or designee, this person assists in the supervision, care and instruction of students grades 6-8 on an Individual Education Program (IEP). Accompanies students with disabilities into general education settings and / or resources room settings and assists with tasks. Four (4) hours per day.
PAY & BENEFITS
Beginning hourly rate : $16.37 / hour and up, commensurate with related experience.
Benefits package includes SERS retirement, free life insurance, and sick and personal days.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Apply for and maintain an Educational Aide Permit from the Ohio Department of Education (ODE) and meet one of the following criteria (1) hold an Associate's degree or higher, (2) have taken forty-eight semester hours of college coursework, or (3) take a Paraprofessional exam.
