What are the responsibilities and job description for the Child Protection Worker- Butler County position at Butler County Children Services?

Our caseworkers investigate allegations of abuse and neglect and provide case management for as risk families. We have a strong commitment to the families we serve and strive to ensure child safety within their own home whenever possible.
As a caseworker you will,
Assess children and families to see if any services are necessary to ensure child safety.
Help families in the middle of a crisis or dealing with complex issues
Use motivational interview techniques to help clients make changes to benefit their families.
Work with the court system and other providers to advocate for families.
Link families with community resources
Complete frequent and accurate documentation on all cases/families.
Requirements:
- A degree in a Human Services related field (Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Criminology, etc)
- Experience in child welfare not required.
- Clean background check
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Valid driver's license and personal vehicle
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $24.04 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
