Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Finance Clerk to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of nonprofit accounting principles and will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and supporting the overall financial operations of the organization. This role requires proficiency in Quickbooks. Competitive Salary.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and update financial records, ensuring accuracy.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliation to verify account balances and resolve discrepancies.
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions in a timely manner.
- Prepare financial statements and reports as required.
- Balance petty cash, checking accounts each month.
- Prepare and make deposits.
- Prepare yearly tax and financial statements
- Occasionally other responsibilities, not herein detailed, will become apparent and will require attention.
Skills
- Maintain excellent computer skills.
- Proficiency with Quickbooks software.
- Excellent understanding of accounts payable and receivable.
- Communication skills (ability to relate to people of all ages).
- Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Must be trustworthy and able to handle and process large amounts of money.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Must be flexible and able to adjust to change.
