What are the responsibilities and job description for the Generator Technician position at Butler Mechanical Services LLC?
We have an immediate need for a contractors position at our company.
We hold the state contract for the generators at all the 9-1-1 Cell Towers across the state of PA. We provide maintenance, service, repairs and installations of approx. 215 cell towers in the State. Plus we work with Motorola, State Police, several counties and other contactors within the Commonwealth.
Summary
As a Generator Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various types of generators, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. Reporting to the Service Manager, your role requires strong mechanical knowledge and electrical experience to effectively troubleshoot issues. You will utilize your skills with hand tools and power tools, while also leveraging your premium skills in diesel, LP and NG engine and equipment repair. Your ability to provide excellent customer service and work with schematics will be essential in delivering high-quality service and support to our clients. We are looking for someone with commercial electrical skills and general mechanical contacting skills. Must be a problem solver and know how to navigate an owners manual. Most problems need to be solved out in the field thru process of elimination. In between we are doing a bi-annual routine preventative maintenance on each generator as well as other installations. Will be traveling daily, work truck will be provided upon completion of a probationary period.
