Position: Caregiver/Support Staff
Location: West Haven, CT
Client Type: Individuals with Acquired Brain Injuries (ABI)
Key Qualifications:
- ILST (Individualized Living Support Team) credentials or 2 years of experience working with ABI clients
- High school diploma or equivalent
- A reliable, insured car and valid driver’s license for transportation
- Passion for providing high-quality care and support
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care and assistance with daily living activities for individuals with ABI
- Assist clients in achieving independence and developing life skills
- Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the care team
- Ensure client safety and well-being while fostering a supportive and caring environment
- Maintain accurate documentation of client progress, incidents, and goals
- Transport clients to appointments, programs, and other activities as needed
- Attend team meetings and participate in training and professional development
