- Support the general production of the Butler’s Pantry kitchen
- Support Lead Production Chef in the creating, distribution and execution of all Prep Sheets, ensuring they are accurate and complete
- Oversee the preparation and presentation of cuisine per Butler’s Pantry standards
- Work to create, standardize and assure successful duplication of recipes
- Pinpoint, investigate and help to implement improved processes and management methods to enhance profitability, productivity, and efficiency throughout the company’s culinary operations
- Oversee maintenance of a clean and orderly kitchen facility including all equipment, coolers and storage areas
- Enforce the guarantee of fresh, quality food product in all situations
- Manage team of prep cooks and utility employees to assist in daily production of food and to develop these employees to become future leaders of Butler’s Pantry
- Assist in scheduling of culinary personnel to support production
- Assist in employee development through providing formal and informal feedback through quarterly check-ins, annual reviews, and day to day interaction
- Regular attendance onsite at events
- Periodic participation as the lead Event Chef at larger, complex, VIP events
- Work to resolve issues in a timely and professional manner
- Be a MIBE (Make It Better Everyday) Leader
- Act as an ambassador of the Company by sharing the Company’s core values, vision and direction with others
- Model appropriate behavior and encourage team members to follow suit
- Improve culinary processes through a focus on coaching, mentoring, training and developing
- Delegate tasks and responsibilities using effective and productive methods
- Supervise, implement and ensure the highest standards of food safety and handling practices
- Keep abreast of company policies and procedures as it relates to the position and enforce with other team members
- Follow up and follow through on emails and other work-related correspondence

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in high volume fine dining restaurant, hotel, country club, or catering firm, and experience in a management level role. Experience in both hot and cold food preparation and oversight. It also requires the following competencies for success:
- Skill in artistic plate presentation and a passion for culinary trends
- ServSafe Food Safety Certification required; must be kept current
- Valid driver’s license is required
- Ability to think freely and critically, and to be able to problem solve in the short- and long-term
- Mature, independent judgment and ability to handle a fast pace, stress and change, in a professional manner
- Capacity to execute several projects and activities at the same time
- Computer proficiency, including the Microsoft 365 apps, and other relevant applications
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork sills
- Self-motivator, self-driven, time-managed, and multi-tasker
- Ability to work a flexible and sometimes non-traditional schedule, including regular attendance at Butler’s Pantry events during nights and weekends
