This position takes an active role in ensuring all recipes, food preparations, and presentations meet the specifications and commitment to quality set forth by Butler's Pantry. This position also assists in the oversight of culinary operations offsite at Butler's Pantry events. As a leader on the culinary team, the Sous Chef will help set the tone and expectations, while remaining committed to not only meeting, but exceeding client expectations.

Support the general production of the Butler's Pantry kitchenSupport Lead Production Chef in the creating, distribution and execution of all Prep Sheets, ensuring they are accurate and completeOversee the preparation and presentation of cuisine per Butler's Pantry standardsWork to create, standardize and assure successful duplication of recipesPinpoint, investigate and help to implement improved processes and management methods to enhance profitability, productivity, and efficiency throughout the company's culinary operationsOversee maintenance of a clean and orderly kitchen facility including all equipment, coolers and storage areasEnforce the guarantee of fresh, quality food product in all situationsManage team of prep cooks and utility employees to assist in daily production of food and to develop these employees to become future leaders of Butler's PantryAssist in scheduling of culinary personnel to support productionAssist in employee development through providing formal and informal feedback through quarterly check-ins, annual reviews, and day to day interactionRegular attendance onsite at eventsPeriodic participation as the lead Event Chef at larger, complex, VIP eventsWork to resolve issues in a timely and professional mannerLEAD BY ACTION & BY EXAMPLE (The stuff that makes an impact)

Minimum of 5 years' experience in high volume fine dining restaurant, hotel, country club, or catering firm, and experience in a management level role. Experience in both hot and cold food preparation and oversight. It also requires the following competencies for success :
