What You’ll Do
- Coordinate legal communications
- Manage calendars, including trial dates, hearing dates, depositions, etc.
- Schedule client meetings, depositions, hearings and handling logistical needs
- Draft, revise and proofread legal documents and correspondence
- Handle preparation of hearing, trial, and deposition notebooks and exhibits
- Assist with electronic filing of pleadings, exhibits and other legal documents
- Maintain legal and confidential files and dockets in strict confidence
- Perform related or similar duties as required or assigned
- Knowledge of lifecycle of a lawsuit and terminology
- A self-starter attitude
- Attention to detail and accuracy of work product
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
- Ability to draft correspondences and pleadings
- Ability to accurately file documents, maintain calendar of depositions, and prepare document productions (with Bates numbers)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Superior technology skills – proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe; experience with iManage and Aderant a plus
- Exceptional organizational skills
